Field Cottage is in Peterstow near the town of Ross-On-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Natural Beauty, Herefordshire.

The house and annexe are situated in a very peaceful lane in the Peterstow countryside, however the location is still very well connected to the the market town of Ross-On-Wye (10 mins drive) and Hereford (20 mins drive). There are views of the countryside from every window and the house is far enough away from the nearest neighbours to provide a high level of privacy. There are many places to visit in the local area suitable for walkers, children and adults.

The holiday cottage is available for hire and has 4 bedrooms inside the main house plus a self contained 1 bedroom annexe with kitchen/living area. All of the house and separate self contained annexe are available. You’ll be able to access the whole property privately including the gardens.

Check in is at 4pm and check out at 10am. 

Early check in and later check out may be available if not other bookings are in place on the day of arrival or departure. Please kindly ask and we’ll see if it’s possible.

House (sleeps 8): 
2 x King Size Beds, 2 x Single Beds, 1 x Bunk with 2 Beds 

Annexe (sleeps 4):
1 x Double Bed, 1 x Camp Bed (can be moved into house), 1 x Sofa Bed (for 1 Adult or 2 Children)

Please kindly check that the rooms are suitable for your requirements. Please note that the property could take up to 12 guests however this would include a sofa bed and camp bed for 2 guests in the annexe living area. Just to note that the bulk beds in the kids room are big enough for adults however the décor of the room is for children.

THE COTTAGE

Field Cottage is a charming country cottage is in a peaceful location with country views from every window. It’s 10 minutes drive to Ross-On-Wye.

The cottage was built in 1850 and has 4 bedrooms upstairs. There are 2 living rooms downstairs, a dining room along with a well equipped kitchen.

Inside has 4 bedrooms, 2 living spaces, dining room & kitchen. There are bunk beds in the kids room however these would be suitable for adults as standard single bunks.

Bedding, sheets, towels, toilet rolls shampoo and shower gel are included.

There is a dishwasher, cooker, hobs, microwave, washing machine & tumble dryer at the propery.

A stair gate is available for the top of the stairs for guests who require one during their stay. A travel cot, mattress and sheets are also available.

THE ANNEXe

The separate self contained annexe has a downstairs bathroom and shower room, with upstairs living space/kitchen. 

The downstairs bedroom would be suitable for guests who need access to a room without stairs.

A single sofa bed and camp bed can be used upstairs if extra space is required.

The self contained annexe is about 10 metres away from the house with a downstairs double bed and accessible toilet/shower room. 

Upstairs there is an open plan living room with a sofa bed and kitchen with dining table. There is also access to a camp bed.

There is internet inside the annexe.

the Gardens

The gardens are secured with fencing, hedges and a gate to provide a safe environment for children to play along with being dog friendly accommodation.

There is a large lawn area in front of the main house plus another lawn area in front of the annex.

The garden is full of shrubs and flower beds for you to enjoy throughout the seasons.

There are views of the surrounding country fields, farm land and orchards.

There is parking in the grounds for approximately 3 cars however there is also space to park on the lane if required (away from gates to farmer’s fields).

There is an Electric Vehicle Charging Point (outside electric point) however please kindly note that you will need your vehicle adapter.

We look to make Field Cottage and Annexe as accessible as possible for all guests within what is possible at an old building. Please see below for details about what’s accessible:

Some areas are wheelchair accessible, with a small step up however support is likely to be required from other members of your booking party. There are no special bathroom rails or hoists at the property.

The property is most likely suitable for:

  • Level entrance via Kitchen door (70 cm door but only 50 cm access due to cupboards)
  • Dining Room, Kitchen and Snug all on level floor

  • Handrails on both sides of stairs – with all bedrooms upstairs.

Annexe:

  • Small step up to Annexe entrance on both front and back door. Ramp Available. (70 cm width door)
